Throughout six rooms we break down the most important aspects of one of the great mysteries of history: Who was the man of the Holy Shroud? This historical, artistic and scientific tour on the studies of the Shroud, its impact on the Christian world and on the representation of the image of Jesus, will make you travel through time and beyond science. This experience culminates with a hyperrealistic sculpture in real size based on scientific and forensic criteria extracted from the Shroud; of the image of a man who could have been Jesus after his death.

Emanuela Marinelli

Graduated in Natural Sciences and Geological Sciences. She gave lectures on Christian iconography at the Free University Maria Santissima Assunta and on the Holy Shroud at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. She is the author of numerous books on the Holy Shroud, including Luce dal Sepolcro, written with Marco Fasol (Fede & Cultura, Verona 2015), translated into English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. For the Ares publisher (Milan) she edited Nuova luce sulla Sindone in 2020. For Ares she also wrote, in collaboration with Domenico Repice, Via Sindonis in 2022 and Piccola Via Sindonis in 2023. She is a Gold Medal for Merit of Catholic Culture and Knight of the Italian Republic. She received the international peace prize “Pope Paul VI”.

Andrea Tornielli

Born in Chioggia (Venice) in 1964, he graduated in Classical Letters from the University of Padua and has been a professional journalist since 1994. He has worked as a Vaticanist for the international monthly 30Days, as a special correspondent and Vaticanist for the newspaper Il Giornale, as a service chief and Vaticanist for the newspaper La Stampa and coordinated the web Vatican Insider. In 2018 he was appointed by Pope Francis as editorial director of the Vatican media in the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See. He is the author of numerous books, among them the biographies of the popes Pius XII (2007) and Paul VI (2009), published for Le scie by Mondadori, the international bestseller Il nome di Dio è misericordia. A conversation with Pope Francis (2016) and Life of Jesus (2022).

José Ángel Rivera de las Heras

Graduated in Teaching from the University School of Zamora, Bachelor in Ecclesiastical Studies from the Pontifical University of Salamanca, and Doctor in Art History from the University of Salamanca. He has been Delegate for Heritage and Culture of the diocese of Zamora, in Spain, between 1995 and 2022, Director of the Diocesan Museum between 2012 and 2022, and Director of the Diocesan Historical Archive between 1996 and 2022. He is a lecturer and disseminator; coordinator of seminars; curator and scriptwriter of exhibitions; advisor, creator and renovator of cathedral and diocesan museums; researcher and historian of Christian art, and expert in Cultural Heritage of the Church.
